My educational background:
BS in Finance from Ithaca College
My certifications:
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
My favorite teacher from my past:
The teacher who sticks out most in my mind is my Honors English 11 teacher in high school. She taught me how to be a successful writer, and to this day, people keep telling me what a great writer am I! It was all thanks to her passion and dedication to her students. She was the only teacher to ever give me an “F” on a paper, but it was because I’d made it all the way through school without learning how to construct a decent sentence. Go Patty!
What do I love about Epiphany?
I love that teachers take the time to understand the unique needs of each child so they can be successful in school. Also, I like that we are small so that the environment isn’t overwhelming for the students.
How does teaching and working with children inspire me?
I don’t work directly with the children, but I hope to get to know each of the families to understand their journey and what lead them to Epiphany. My goal as Business Officer is to help Epiphany thrive as a school through prudent financial management, so we may exist to educate and inspire as many children as possible.
